This street was named from the English word point and the Portuguese word ponta point. In contrast to the hustle and bustle of Kawaramachi, the narrow end of this street, which has a quiet atmosphere, is lined with old ryotei restaurants and chaya geisha houses. Adjacent to Kamogawa River, it is the stuff of poetry in the summer.
